The number 9: Javier Saviola

A daring, rapid and very skilful forward who came to Barça at only 19 years old from Argentine club River Plate. Always with the goal in his sights, could play close to the area and drop deep to collect the ball and play. He played for four seasons at Barça, interrupted by two spells with Monaco and Sevilla, and scored fifty goals during his stay at the Camp Nou.
