The FC Barcelona Players' Association held its Annual Dinner on Friday, November 21. More than 300 people gathered at the Hotel Catalonia Plaza in Barcelona, ​​for an evening led by the president of FC Barcelona, ​​Joan Laporta. As usual, the large family of the Association was represented at the dinner, with a long list of former players from the first team and lower categories, managers and collaborating members of the organization. Laporta was accompanied by managers Rafael Yuste, Antonio Escudero and Josep Ignasi Macià.

In the hours leading up to the official return to Spotify Camp Nou, the Stadium itself became one of the protagonists of the night. Joan Laporta confessed that returning to the Camp Nou has great emotional meaning: "it's like a return to the future, it's remembering again what you've experienced there with very special players", some of whom were present at the dinner and whom the president mentioned, such as Asensi himself, Rexach, Alfonseda, Tente Sánchez, Olmo, Estella, Alexanko, Paco Martínez, Mora, Zuviría, Esteban or Guillermo Amor.

A dedicated space at Spotify Camp Nou

Joan Laporta and Juan Manuel Asensi confirmed that the Association will have its own space at Spotify Camp Nou and that, "if there are no unforeseen circumstances - the Barça president stated - it will be available during the first quarter of next year". Asensi assured that this will be a meeting point for members of the Association on match days.

    In his words, Joan Laporta also highlighted the generosity of the club's former footballers through the Players Foundation, which aims to help those who need it most. A pride that was also expressed by Juan Manuel Asensi, who is about to start his third year at the helm of the Association and who assured that he feels "immensely happy" to work every day for the club along with the rest of the directors.
