From the first meetings of former Barça players at the 7 Portes restaurant in Barcelona to the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic, the book “Where dreams live”, the FC Barcelona Players Association reviews the 60-year history of the Association.
This publication, written by David Salinas and which is number 3 in the La Forza Balugrana collection, published by Sport Legal, not only includes the history of Agrupación, but also explains the entity's branches of activity, as well as the lines that outline its future challenges. A book that allows us to know firsthand what it is, what the Group does and who forms it, as well as how it has evolved and grown in these years. The volume is not for sale and is aimed exclusively at former Club players who are members of the Group.
The book is divided into different thematic chapters and includes a prologue by the president of the Club, Joan Lporta. It reviews the chronology of the Group and the Foundation, its origins, its functions, the relationship with the Club, the future of this entity to reach the figures of the presidents and ends with the Barça Players Award, where all its winners are reviewed.
“This book allows us to understand why today we have an Association and a Foundation to be proud of, and it is also a recognition of all the people who have made it possible for so many years,” says Ramon Salud, director of the Association that has actively participated in the production of the book. The texts are complemented by a selection of more than 160 images from the documentary collections of the Association, FC Barcelona, the SPORT newspaper and the photographer Rafa Seguí.
