The Association celebrates the traditional Christmas games

100 ex-football players from the Club meet again in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper

It's 9 in the morning and it's cold, and Christmas is only two days away. On Saturday 23 December, the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper hosted one of the traditional meetings of the FC Barcelona Players Association: the social matches of ex-football players of the Club to celebrate the holidays. On this occasion, 100 ex-Blaugrana players remained faithful to this morning in which consecutive matches of a social nature are played: the +60 category, the +50 category, the youngest and also the AJ FCB Femení.

An activity organized by the Sports Area and which continues the old tradition of FC Barcelona to celebrate friendly matches on Christmas Day. An initiative also open to the families of the participating ex-players, as around 25 children took part in the matches which were also played on the lawn of the Joan Gamper, alongside their fathers, mothers and grandparents. A party in which there was no lack of traditional elements, such as broth, nougat or the carol performed by the women's team.

Rafael Zuviría and Antonio Olmo, members of Association's board, witnessed the event and congratulated all the attendees on behalf of the board of directors.
