From Barça to business school

ESADE business school students take part of Coach Values, the Association's team building project, to learn how Barça's values can be implemented in the business world.

Is it raining? That is not a problem. In the professional world, just as in football, there are times when the conditions change and we must adapt. In order to do so, it is necessary to have a good methodology and social habilities training. In the Coach Values program, there is a lot to learn about readiness, method and soft skills. This week, ESADE business school students have taken part in the latest Coach Values edition. For a whole morning, they have changed the classroom for a very special place, the Camp Nou premises.

The session has been led by former players Ramon Alfonseda and Jofre Mateu. From their own professional experience, they have taught how they lived the building of a team and the apllying of Barça's methodology. The Association's president Alfonseda focused on the construction of a team as an strategy to reach a superlative game play and good results, according to his time in the first team with coach Rinus Michels. On the other hand, Mateu approached the work method that has made Barça's DNA unique worldwide.

And then it is time to put everything into practice. Opposite to Camp Nou, the participants dress up with Barça's game kit. Former players Carles Cuadrat and Jordi Martínez join them for the last bit of the day. Through football related activities, in which a ball is always present, the students can really carry out every aspect they have just learnt, such as team work, leadership and communication skills.
