Kids Activities: Treasure hunter
At the Barça Foundation we have designed some activities for children to enjoy at home whilst learning key skills such as effort and determination!
TIME: Between 15 and 30 minutes
Are you a curious, quick and a good observer?
If you have all these qualities you will be a good treasure hunter.
This is a game that you can play with your family in which you will find objects at home that you probably hadn’t noticed before.
Come on, let’s do it!
What do you need?
- A pencil and a sheet of paper
- A chronometer
- A plastic bag
Game description
- Ask your mother or father to write two different lists with 12 objects that are hidden at home.
- Every participant will take a plastic bag and one of the object lists. When the game starts, all participants will have 10 minutes to find the maximum number of objects from the list and put them inside their bag.
- When time runs out, everyone goes back to the starting point. Then someone will check who has found the most objects on the list.
Rules
- The objects that aren’t in the bag will not count.
- If an object does not match the one on the list, it will not count.
- If a participant finds an object once time is over, it will not count.
Possible variations of the game
- You can write the same list for all participants and race to see who is able to find the most objects.
- To tidy things up, you can organize a little competition to see who is quickest at putting the objects back.
Now you have a fun game that you can play with your family even on rainy days!
Enjoy!
