New Association’s name and logo to tighten the bonds with the Club
According to the instructions given by the brand managers of FC Barcelona, the Barça Players Association is launching a new name: FC Barcelona Players Association. In this way, the integration of the former players association will be officialized inside the Barça universe and will allow to add value to the FC Barcelona’s brand and give more sense to the slogan “More than a club”.
The new denomination of the association will be completed with the actualization of its corporative image, which will adopt the Club’s official shield and its visual image will follow the same graphic line than the other legal entities bonded with FC Barcelona. Until now, the Association has been using the Club’s 75th anniversary shield.
Gemma Giró, executive of the Association responsible on the marketing area, says that “this initiative is a tribute of the Club towards our entity and reinforces our international image”.
Furthermore, Gemma Giró also explains that this reorganization is just a procedure to formalize something which was already interiorized: “the majority of the people, when they saw us dressed with the same colors, they already identified us as a part of the Club”.
The decision, which has been validated by the Board of Directors of the Association, will need the definitive approbation of the entity’s Assembly, because the new denomination and image will involve a modification of the Statutes.
In 2018 the Club carried out an strategy of brand potentiation through the creation of a own typography and de development of a new visual style unified in all the entity areas.
